A 17-year-old driver stopped on a Greater Toronto Area highway for going 94 km/h over the 100 km/h speed limit had alcohol in his system and only a G2 licence, provincial police said.

The Brampton teen, who cannot be identified, was pulled over on Wednesday night on Highway 410 near Queen Street, police said in a release.

He has been charged with stunt driving, having more than a zero blood alcohol level with a G2 licence and consuming liquor underage.

The Toyota Avalon the teen was driving was seized and his licence was suspended for seven days.
