An OPP officer left in critical condition after a carbon monoxide leak killed her family last week in Woodstock is not expected to survive.

Police issued a statement on behalf of Laurie Hawkins' family saying they don't expect her to recover.

She was transferred from a Toronto hospital to North Bay where family and friends can be with her around the clock.

Hawkins was found clinging to life in her home last Monday, alongside the bodies of her family.

A private funeral service was held on the weekend for her 40-year-old husband Richard, the couple's 14-year-old daughter Cassandra and their 12-year-old son Jordan.

Police say a carbon buildup in the pipe of a gas fireplace caused a carbon monoxide leak in the home.

The police also said the family plans to hold a celebration of all their lives after Hawkins dies.
