CBC News has learned that the propane company employee who has been missing since Sunday's explosions is an international student from India.
Sheridan College says it has a student by the name of Parminder Saini enrolled in one of its programs. It also says the student works for Sunrise Propane.
A body was recovered from the site earlier this week but has not been identified.
The lawyer for Sunrise Propane named Saini, 24, as the missing employee on Sunday night.
But until now there had been no other details about him.
Sheridan College says Saini is one of its students.
"We do have a student by that name registered here, so we are assuming it is the same person, but we don't have any contact with the company," said Susan Atkinson, the college's manager of media relations.
Atkinson says Saini's home is listed as Chandigarh in Punjab State.
She said he's enrolled in the Quality Assurance, Manufacturing and Management program at Sheridan's Brampton campus. It's described as a postgraduate course.
"It's a one-year graduate certificate program," said Atkinson. "It began in January and concludes in December following a four-month co-op."
There are no other details about Sani's job description or training at Sunrise.
