TTC riders who found themselves without service last weekend are going to get a refund — but only if they have a pass.

The transit commission announced Wednesday it will refund as much as $9.50, depending on which pass the commuter bought.

"Unfortunately," the commission says in a news release, "the TTC cannot refund customers who paid by cash, ticket or token on April 25."

Customers are being told to take their passes to any TTC collector booth, or to the Metropass discount plan office at 1900 Yonge Street, before May 30.

If riders hand in their pass they'll be given the refund which ranges from $3.00 for an April 25 day pass up to $9.50 for the week 17 adult weekly pass.

For those TTC users who wish to claim a federal tax credit, the TTC advises customers to sign the back of their passes and then photocopy both sides.

The commission says the Canada Revenue Agency will accept a photocopy of the April pass, with signature, for tax purposes.
