A subway train car derailment at the Kennedy station Monday morning has partially shut down down service on the Bloor-Danforth line.
Shuttle buses will be running between Kennedy station and Warden station until Toronto Transit Commission crews can fix the problem.
According to the TTC, a train developed a problem at about 1 a.m., possibly losing a piece of equipment from its undercarriage.
"That sort of caused a series of events which resulted in the rear car of the train coming off the rails," said TTC spokesman Danny Nicholson.
"There was, I understand, four passengers on the train at the time, plus the two-person crew, no injuries reported whatsoever. So for the time being, and actually for the rest of the day, likely there will be no subway service in both directions between Kennedy and Warden stations."
A number of crews are on the scene trying to determine the problem.
"We have our track and structure department here, our safety department, our signals and safety department, so various departments from the TTC are on site conducting the investigation," said Nicholson.
