New lottery chimes will hail winners and losers

New lottery chimes and voice alerts are now on all lottery terminals across Ontario.
Starting Tuesday, if a lottery ticket is a winner, a special chime plays followed by a voice saying the customer has won.
If the ticket doesn't entitle the customer to any prize, a short little chime will play and a voice will say "no prize."
The voice alerts are in French and English.
A video on the screen will also tell customers if they won, won big or walk away empty-handed.
If the ticket is a big winner — meaning a prize of $10,000 or more — an upbeat jingle plays.
OLG spokeswoman Theresa Roncon said it's just one of the many ways they are trying to protect customers.
The OLG has been working to restore its reputation after allegations surfaced of widespread retailer fraud.
