Chris Bosh had six points and a crucial block in double overtime Sunday afternoon as the Toronto Raptors survived the Portland Trail Blazers 116-109.

Bosh had 38 points and 13 rebounds as Toronto earned its third consecutive win, this time over one of the league's hottest teams. Bosh has scored more than 20 points in each of his last six games, and narrowly missed becoming the first Raptor ever to record 40 in a season on four separate occasions.

Toronto (20-17) led by seven points with just over two minutes left in regulation, but a pair of Channing Frye dunks set up a critical error by Jamario Moon of the Raptors.

With Portland down by four with 19 seconds left, Travis Outlaw hit a three-pointer and was fouled by Moon in the process. Outlaw made the free throw to tie the score, and Toronto's last attempt in regulation fell short.

Moon made up for the foul with a crucial block in each overtime period.

"I think that one play, the foul, I think I grew up from the time I made that foul to the end of the game," said Moon. "It showed me a lot, when you make a bad play, you have to let it go, and continue to try to make good plays."

Anthony Parker poured in 27 points for the Raptors, with Jose Calderon adding 20 points, eight assists and a pair of steals.

Toronto will try for four consecutive wins for just the second time this season in Detroit against the Pistons on Tuesday.

The Blazers had won 17 of their last 18 games coming in, including a 101-96 victory over the Raptors on Dec. 19.

2nd-year player tops scoring

Super sophomore guard Brandon Roy on Sunday scored 33 points, and had six rebounds and 10 assists. Roy heaved a shot from well behind the three-point arc to force a second overtime period.

Bosh and the Raptors shut down Roy in the second overtime period. Roy missed all three of his attempts.

"He's one of those guys who can do everything," Bosh told CBC Sports. "We made it tough on him in the end.

"He got us early a little bit, but we continued to make him shoot jump shots and made it tough for him in the lane."

Outlaw had 18 points for Portland (22-14), with Frye contributing 16 to go with five rebounds. Lamarcus Aldridge hauled in 12 rebounds to go with 11 points.

The game was a seesaw affair from the opening tip. Bosh kept it at 19-17 for Portland when he swatted away Jarrett Jack's layup attempt, and Calderon soon after made his first steal, driving in uncontested.

Toronto led 25-24 after the first quarter. Roy, last year's rookie of the year, counted a pair of three-pointers among his eight points in the quarter.

Bosh had a pair of impressive dunks and Carlos Delfino counted eight of his 16 points in the second quarter. Jack nailed a three at the buzzer to close the lead to 49-47 for the Raptors.

Toronto went cold at the end of the third, with Portland opening up a six-point lead with one quarter left.

The Raptors rebounded at the start of the fourth and didn't fold as the Trail Blazers drew close.

Martell Webster came off the bench for Portland to hit a critical three-pointer late in the game.

Calderon got it back with a three-pointer of his own, but Frye's points and the error by Moon sent the game into extra time before the Raptors ultimately prevailed.

"You just have to be proud of them because that was an unbelievable win for us," said Toronto head coach Sam Mitchell. "To win like that, I think some of our players grew up today."

Andrea Bargnani continues to struggle for Toronto. Bargnani had four points, all early, and has just 21 in the last four games.

The Trail Blazers were playing their first of seven straight games on the road.

Roy returned Bosh's compliment after the game.

"He [Bosh] is a load and I think in overtime he wore us down and we tried to double-team him," Roy said.

Portland has accomplished their turnaround without Greg Oden, the No. 1 overall pick in the draft who has yet to play a game due to a knee injury. Odom was in attendance in Toronto on Saturday.
