Hydro One crews will be out again on Friday working to restore power to about 25,000 customers in Ontario who have been in the dark for days.

Hydro One spokesman Daffyd Roderick said 1,100 employees will be working on the downed wires, concentrating on areas of eastern Ontario and cottage country that were the hardest hit.

Their main concern is the forecast for freezing rain in more northern areas and rain and high winds farther south.

High winds swept across much of the province on Wednesday toppling trees onto power lines.

The storm initially knocked out power to 140,000 customers.

Roderick said some customers in remote areas and seasonal properties won't get their power restored until the weekend
