Snowsqualls heading for southern Ontario

After a stretch of relatively gentle weather, winter appears ready to blow into Ontario's snowbelt region with a vengeance.
An Environment Canada snowsquall warning runs from Lake Huron through the Bruce Peninsula, the London area and Barrie-Orillia.
The forecast called for snowsqualls with bursts of heavy snow Thursday and Friday, with some areas looking at up to 15 centimetres of snow.
Lake effect showers are expected to turn into flurries and snowsqualls Thursday evening as the temperature drops. The weather office says the snowsqualls will begin to diminish later on Friday.
Freezing rain is already causing some problems in Huron County.
Provincial police say a driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries after a pickup truck slid off the Bluewater Highway at about 5:30 a.m. and hit a tree.
