Premier Dalton McGuinty says he won't follow the lead of Quebec and Newfoundland and Labrador and ban cellphones behind the wheel.
McGuinty said it is dangerous to talk and drive, but he's not about to ban it.
He said some people also distract themselves by drinking coffee, eating and applying makeup while driving.
But McGuinty said he wouldn't know where to draw the line and what habits to outlaw.
Quebec's transport minister said she's prepared to restrict cellphone use behind the wheel in a bid to crack down on dangerous driving.
Newfoundland and Labrador brought in a cellphone ban for drivers in 2003.
