Vermillion Lake Road in Sudbury tops the annual list of worst roads in Ontario, according to a survey by the Canadian Automobile Association.
 
In fact, the Greater Sudbury area garnered four of the top 10 spots on the 2007 list of axle-busting, pothole-covered roads. Lansing Avenue was second, Bancroft Drive was eighth and Notre Dame Avenue was 10th.

No. 2 on the list is Bradley Avenue in London while Cardwell Street in Assiginack Township on Manitoulin Island — selected the worst road of 2006 — was No. 4.
  
Steeles Avenue in Toronto — the worst road of 2005 — was fifth this year.
  
More than 6,500 Ontario drivers submitted votes online or at CAA-approved repair shops and stores across Ontario.
  
Kris Barnier of CAA Ontario said commuters are sending a loud and clear message to all three provincial party leaders that the funding and repair of municipal roads must be a priority.
