Two youths are no longer facing charges in connection with Canada's largest anti-terrorism bust, leaving 15 suspects remaining in the alleged plot to bomb targets in Ontario.
Charges against the two, who cannot be named, were stayed Tuesday after an agreement was reached between the Crown and defence lawyers in Brampton, Ont.
The two youths were among the 17 netted in a series of high-profile police raids last summer, about 14 months ago. An 18th person was arrested and charged two months later.
In February, another teen, the youngest of four charged youths, had charges against him stayed. The young defendants faced charges of belonging to a terrorist organization and attending a terror training camp.
Most of the adult suspects face more serious charges, such as plotting to cause an explosion.
Tuesday's decision leaves one youth and 14 adults facing charges.
Preliminary hearings for the adult suspects continue in Brampton this month. Trials are still months away.
