Another of the 17 bomb-plot suspects was denied bail Monday, just days after one of the youths was released from jail.
Saad Khalid of Mississauga remained expressionless as justice of the peace Hilda Weiss told him he would not be released on bail.
The 19-year-old is one of the five youths and 12 men arrested across southern Ontario on June 2 and June 3 in connection with an alleged bomb plot.
A young woman, who is a friend of the family, broke down in tears after the decision was read out.
Khalid is charged with knowingly participating in a terrorist group, receiving training with a terrorist group and for the intent to cause an explosion likely to harm people or damage property.
Evidence brought before the court at the bail hearing cannot be reported because of a sweeping publication ban.
Khalid's lawyer Paul Burstein said outside of court that his client was quite disappointed in light of the news that a co-accused had been released on bail Friday.
The youth, who cannot be named, was released under what his lawyer called strict conditions. The conditions cannot be revealed because of the publication ban.
Burstein said his client is considering asking for a new hearing.
Khalid is the third accused to be denied bail.
The two youngest suspects were denied bail in late June, but both have sought a second trial before a judge. A decision is expected this week.
