William McCormack Jr., the son of a former police chief, is charged with 23 breaches of the Act, including insubordination, deceit and corruption in connection with an alleged police protection racket in the city's entertainment district.
These are on top of criminal charges that were laid against him earlier this year.

The Notice of Hearing for the disciplinary charges shows McCormack allegedly skipped work, tried to help a friend beat a speeding ticket and used unmarked police cars for his own personal use.
He also allegedly leaked information about an upcoming drug raid, ran unauthorized criminal checks for friends and brokered deals with bar owners locked in lawsuits.
In addition to the disciplinary charges against McCormack, six other officers from 52 and 51 Division are facing charges of neglect, deceit corrupt practice, discreditable conduct and breach of confidence.
Among those named are two supervisors, Det. Brian Berger and Det. Hugh Wong, who are charged with turning a blind eye to the behavior.
Four more outstanding charges are yet to be served to two officers.
