The family of a man who died in a fight with police plans to sue the officers following their acquittals on manslaughter charges Wednesday.

Otto Vass died three years ago during a struggle with police at a convenience store.

The officers who were charged in his death testified that Vass, who was mentally ill, had attacked them.
They said he stopped breathing while they were attempting to restrain him, but denied charges that they had used unnecessary force.
The trial heard that Vass had a history of unexpectedly attacking people.
