Man stabbed in head near Queen and Bathurst

A man suffered serious injuries when he was stabbed in the head Sunday near Queen Street West and Bathurst Street.

A man suffered serious injuries when he was stabbed in the head Sunday near Queen Street West and Bathurst Street.

Toronto paramedics say they received a call at 4:56 p.m. regarding a stabbing incident. They went to the scene and transported a man in his 50s to a trauma centre. 

Paramedics say the man is in serious condition.

Toronto police say they were notified about a male bleeding from the head just after 5 p.m. and went to the area.

Police say it appears the attacker was known to the victim, but there are currently no details on who may be responsible.

No one is in custody and police continue to investigate.
