A severe thunderstorm watch has ended in Toronto, but the rain is coming down.

Environment Canada had issued the severe thunderstorm watch late on Tuesday morning, but ended it in the mid-afternoon.

The forecast, as of 3:30 p.m. ET, was calling for showers or thunderstorms to end by the early evening.

Also Tuesday, Toronto Region and Conservation was advising that, with the incoming rains, there will be higher-than-normal water levels in rivers and streams.

Flooding in low-lying areas and roadways could be a possibility.

Tuesday marks the one-year anniversary of the severe thunderstorm that caused hundreds of millions of dollars in damage in Toronto.
