A second man has been arrested in connection with a 2015 stabbing at a Pickering house party that left a 25-year-old man dead.

Durham Regional Police say a 20-year-old Pickering man was arrested Friday evening and charged with second-degree murder and two counts of assault with a weapon. He is being held pending a bail hearing.

The first arrest in the case came Tuesday when another 20-year-old man was charged with second-degree murder.

The charges are in relation with the death of Dionecio (Deshane) Nelson, who was stabbed in the early hours of July 2 shortly after leaving the party, when he became involved in a physical confrontation with two men.

Police say their investigation is ongoing and they're asking anyone with information to call the Major Crime Homicide Unit at 1-888-579-1520 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
