Toronto mayor will relaunch Ford Nation online by Christmas, says brother

Toronto Mayor Rob Ford is heading to YouTube, and will relaunch his Ford Nation program online before Christmas, according to his brother, Coun. Doug Ford.

Coun. Ford told local radio station CFRB 1010 on Thursday night that the embattled mayor has recently been approached by various U.S. and Canadian TV producers — everyone from Dr. Phil to Oprah Winfrey, he claims — about turning out a reality show.

But the brothers instead appear to be sticking with the talk-show format they used on CFRB, where they once aired a weekly show, and during their short-lived TV program, also called Ford Nation, which ran briefly on the Sun News Network.

The radio program came to an abrupt end amid the mayor's crack-smoking scandal, leading to a single episode of Ford Nation on Sun. Ford was stripped of most of his mayoral powers by city council earlier this month.
