CBC Toronto hosted a mayoral debate Tuesday evening during which each of the four candidates in attendance was asked to detail their vision for the city.

The debate is available in its entirety in three 30-minute segments:

CBC Toronto also live-tweeted the 90-minute debate. You can follow some of the chatter that ensued by browsing the Twitter widget on the right — #mmth (Metro Morning Town Hall) was the hash tag for the debate.

The Toronto Community Foundation's newly released Vital Signs report  was used as a springboard for discussion by candidates Rob Ford, Joe Pantalone, Rocco Rossi and George Smitherman.

The major themes of the debate included:

  • Incorporating newcomers to Toronto.
  • A vision for transit.
  • The need for a mayor who can think and act globally.

The discussion took place at the CBC Broadcasting Centre's Glenn Gould Studio and was moderated by Metro Morning host Matt Galloway.
