Power restored after East York outage
About 6,000 customers had been without power since Tuesday afternoon
Toronto Hydro crews restored service early Wednesday for about 6,000 East York customers who had been without power since yesterday afternoon.
Power was restored just after 6 a.m. to a block of customers in an area bordered by Danforth Avenue in the north, south to Queen Street East, and east of Main Street to Lutrell Avenue.
The power outage began when a contractor struck a hydro line while digging.
Though the lights are back on in most areas of the neighbourhood, some traffic lights in the area remain out.
