Police look to criminal profiler in Etobicoke break-in probe
Toronto police have contacted a criminal profiler as part of their investigation into a series of break-ins that have occurred in Etobicoke over the past two-plus years.
Since the summer of 2012, police say that more than 20 homes have been broken into.
The incidents have tended to occur in the summer months while residents are sleeping.
In some cases, the suspect has sexually assaulted residents and leered at others. And in some cases, he has taken objects from their homes.
CBC News has learned that an OPP criminal profiler has now been contacted by police.
Police won't say what type of person the profiler believes they are dealing with.
