Police investigate suspected arson after 3 cars set on fire
Something was placed under the car in all cases, police say
Toronto police are investigating a series of suspected arson incidents early Sunday morning in the area of Jane Street and Wilson Avenue.
Three cars parked in driveways on different streets in a residential area were set on fire, according to police.
Police said in each case, something was placed under the car.
Police are reviewing surveillance footage from the area and trying to determine the accelerant that was used.
The incidents happened at the following locations:
- Richard Clarke Drive at 12:12 a.m. The damage is estimated to be $35,000.
- Deevale Road at 1:14 a.m. The damage is estimated to be $10,000.
- Jane Street at 3:15 a.m. The amount of damage is unclear.
