Toronto police are investigating two separate overnight stabbings.

One incident happened at the Taste of the Danforth festival on Danforth Avenue, west of Pape Avenue, shortly after 1 a.m.

A man was stabbed multiple times, according to paramedics. The victim was rushed to the hospital in serious condition.

Howard Lichtman, one of the Taste of the Danforth organizers, said the incident occurred after the second day of the three-day festival had wrapped up for the evening.

"All our stages had already shut down, it was really a post-bar fight and altercation," he said.

Police say they will be reviewing surveillance video as part of their investigation.

Around the same time as the Danforth incident, another stabbing happened in the area of Yonge Street and Finch Avenue.

A 21-year-old man was stabbed multiple times on William Carson Crescent. His injuries are non-life-threatening.

Police have not yet made any arrests in either stabbing.
