Pedestrian dies after collision in east Toronto

A 74-year-old woman is dead after a collision in east Toronto that sent two pedestrians to hospital.
The woman and a 76-year-old man were crossing an intersection at Victoria Park Avenue and Eglinton Square, police said.
A 2012 GMC van struck the pair. A 58-year-old man was driving the vehicle.
Toronto EMS officials said a call about the incident came at 4:39 p.m.
Paramedics transported the woman to hospital in life-threatening condition. She was later pronounced dead, police said.
The man suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
