A man was killed Wednesday when his motorcycle collided with another vehicle at a major Oshawa intersection.

Durham Police say that the 31-year-old man who was riding the motorcycle and the other driver were taken to hospital after the crash. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival. The other driver, who's 50, was treated for minor injuries.

Meanwhile in Toronto, a 58-year-old man remains in the hospital in serious condition after he lost control of his motorcycle and struck a fire hydrant on Sheppard Avenue East early Wednesday morning.
