Newborn dies days after crash at London, Ont., Costco store killed sister
Mother, three-year-old sister still in hospital
A baby delivered by emergency C-section after her mother was struck by a car that crashed through the doors of a Costco store in London,Ont. has died, according to police
Rhiannon Bozek, only seven-days-old, had been listed in critical condition since being delivered immediately following the crash that claimed the life of her sister, six-year-old Addison Hall.
Her mother, Danah McKinnon-Bozek, who was eight-months pregnant, and her three-year-old-sister, Miah Bozek, were also hit.
As of Saturday morning, McKinnon-Bozek, in good condition, and Miah, in critical condition, remained in hospital.
The family decided to have Addison's organs donated, so the six-year-old was kept on life support until that could be completed. Four children received her organs.
Two other people suffered minor injuries in the crash, along with the driver of the car. All have since been released from hospital.
London police had no further update Saturday on the status of their investigation, and while charges remain a possibility, none have yet been filed.
Police had earlier said it could take weeks to determine whether charges would be laid.
The investigation is focusing on a number of possibilities including driver error, medical distress, mechanical error, or a vehicle malfunction.
