More than 80 firefighters battled a garage fire in Etobicoke for several hours Saturday night.

Toronto Fire Services (TFS) dispatched 21 firetrucks and 85 firefighters to the A1 Auto Repair on Kelfield St., near Dixon Rd. and Highway 27, just after 9 p.m. Saturday.

No injuries were reported but TFS estimates the fire caused more than $1 million in damages.

A TFS spokesman said there was an auto repair shop on the north half of the building and a taxi business on the south side. He added that the roof had collapsed and that the entire building is gutted.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
