A 19-year-old man is dead following a stabbing in Mississauga that police are now calling a homicide.

Peel police spokeswoman Const. Bally Saini said the man was stabbed outside on Webb Drive Saturday afternoon, but he made it inside a home on Harrowsmith Drive — about a five-minute drive away — where someone called 911.

Paramedics found the man without vital signs and tried to revive him at 2:12 p.m., rushing him to hospital in critical condition, spokesman Jay Szymanski said, after the victim was found in the residential neighbourhood near Hearthside and Harrowsmith drives.

Police began searching for the suspected attacker, but Const. Saini said they had not made an arrest as of 5:15 p.m.

The suspect is described as a Middle Eastern male, who stands about 5-10" and has a medium build. Police say he was wearing a grey hoodie.
