Mississauga school choir to sing with Rolling Stones

A choir from a Mississauga high school will share the stage with the Rolling Stones at the Air Canada Centre on May 25 and June 6.

You can't always get what you want.

But that famous lyric from a Rolling Stones classic is not true for a high school choir in Mississauga.

The Cawthra Park Secondary School Chamber Choir has won the chance to sing on stage with the rock legends. The choir of students in grade 11 and 12 with provide backup for You Can't Always Get What You Want.

"Supposedly the kids just screamed when the choir's director broke the news," said CBC's Eli Glasner on News Network.

The group of lucky songbirds nabbed the honour because of a recommendation from the faculty of music at the University of Toronto. They will be performing May 25 and June 6.
