Paramedics say man, woman transported to hospital
A double stabbing that took place early Sunday morning in Mississauga has sent two victims to hospital.
The incident occurred at around 3 a.m. near Dixie Road and Matheson Boulevard, just south of Highway 401. Peel paramedics confirmed two victims were found in the area.
Peel police say a man and a woman were attacked while getting into a car near Aimco Boulevard, adding they were found at a second scene.
Police say they do not believe this was a random attack and the pair was likely targeted.
Paramedics say a 30-year-old man was transported to Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto with stab wounds to his face and neck while a woman in her mid 20s was sent to a local area hospital with minor injuries.
Both victims were transported in stable condition and are expected to survive, according to paramedics. Police say at least one of the victims was in serious condition.
Police say they are looking for two males in relation to the incident. One is believed to be dark-skinned with braids and a hoodie. There are no details on the second person sought by authorities.
