After bullets flew before a brief vehicle pursuit, police in Mississauga are still searching for two suspects in a black pickup truck on Monday.

Peel Regional Police were called to Dursley Crescent, near Hurontario Street and Burnhamthorpe Road East, around 11:21 a.m. for a break and enter in progress.

Tactical officers and a K9 unit responded to the call, police said, and "interacted" with several suspects. Multiple gunshots were fired at the scene, though police didn't say who opened fire.

Three people were arrested at the scene, including one who was transported to hospital with minor injuries.

Nobody else was hurt, paramedics said.

Two suspects fled northbound in a black Ford F-150 pickup truck, which was pursued by police before it got away. Police say this vehicle's windows were damaged during the shooting.

Police held the scene throughout the afternoon to investigate.

Anyone with information about the suspects is asked to contact police directly or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
