Police locate 11-month-old boy who went missing in Downsview

Toronto police have located an 11-month-old boy who was reported missing late Thursday night.

Child, who was last seen in the area of Allen Road and Sheppard Avenue West, found Friday evening

The boy, who was last seen on Thursday afternoon in the area of Allen Road and Sheppard Avenue in North York, was believed to be with his 23-year-old mother, who was not considered missing. (The Canadian Press)

Toronto police have located an 11-month-old boy who was reported missing late Thursday night.

The boy, who was last seen on Thursday afternoon in the area of Allen Road and Sheppard Avenue West in North York, was believed to be with his 23-year-old mother, who was not considered missing.

On Friday evening, just after 6:30 p.m., police tweeted that the pair had been found.

No Amber Alert was issued for the child. 

The Amber Alert program is used to notify the public in child abduction cases where police believe the child is in danger.
