Men flee scene of Brampton gas station crash, 1 arrested

Peel Regional Police say that they received a call about a reported break-and-enter in Brampton, Ont., minutes before a speeding vehicle lost control and crashed into an area gas station on Monday afternoon.

Peel Regional Police say that they received a call about a reported break-and-enter in Brampton, Ont., minutes before a speeding vehicle lost control and crashed into an area gas station on Monday afternoon.

The calls about the break-and-enter came in just before noon and were related to a house on Woodvalley Drive. A witness told police that men were fleeing the home in a vehicle.

Seven minutes later, police received a call about a vehicle that hit a gas station at Bovaird Drive and Chinguacousy Road, a collision that took out a pair of gas pumps.

Two males fled the scene of the crash and police say they are believed to be involved in the break-and-enter.

A search of the area resulted in the arrest of one of the suspects. A second male is still being sought.
