Men argued prior to stabbing at restaurant, police say
Two men got into an argument at a downtown restaurant prior to a stabbing that occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning, Toronto police say.
Staff Sgt. Rob Stewart told CBC News that police were called to Tasty Restaurant at 1222 King St. W., at about 1:45 a.m.
The victim was taken to a local hospital and underwent surgery. Stewart said he is expected to recover.
People at the restaurant held the stabbing suspect until police arrived.
Stewart said a 24-year-old man faces charges of aggravated assault and weapons dangerous.
