Man struck by taxi in downtown hit and run, police say
Victim hit near Jarvis and Shuter streets, suffered minor leg injury
Toronto police are investigating after a man was struck by a taxi in a hit-and-run near Jarvis and Shuter streets this morning.
The victim was conscious and breathing at the scene, but was going to a local hospital to be treated for a minor injury to his leg, police said.
Investigators say the incident happened just before 9:30 a.m. and the taxi driver had a passenger in his cab at the time of the collision.
Police are still looking for the taxi.
