The man who was found sitting in a car after a shooting in Etobicoke last night is believed to be the victim of a targeted attack, Toronto police say.
Shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Monday, police were called to a scene on Bisset Avenue, near Hargrove Lane, on a residential street just south of Sherway Gardens.
At the scene, police found a 27-year-old man "suffering from obvious gunshot wounds," according to a news release.
The window of the car was shattered and there were shell casings on the ground.
Police say they believe a suspect fled the scene in a silver, two-door car.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not yet been released.
A post-mortem was scheduled to take place today.
