Man injured in Mississauga shooting

Police are searching for a suspect following a shooting west of Toronto that left a 19-year-old man injured.

Police are searching for a suspect following a shooting west of Toronto that left a 19-year-old man injured.

The shooting happened just after 4:22 a.m. Saturday in the area of Tomken Road and Eglinton Avenue East.

The victim was shot in the upper torso but was able to make his way to a nearby gas station to call for help.

The man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say there are currently no known suspects and the victim has not been cooperating.

Anyone with information is asked to call Peel police or Crime Stoppers.
