One young man is in serious condition and another has been arrested after a stabbing in a Brampton home overnight.

Peel Regional Police responded to a call shortly after 3 a.m. Saturday to a home on Moffatt Avenue, where they found a 23-year-old man with multiple stab wounds.

The victim was rushed to Sunnybrook Hospital's trauma centre, where he remains with serious injuries, paramedics said.

Brampton resident Brandon Boodram, 23, was arrested at the scene and charged with aggravated assault. He will appear in court today.

Police would not say whether the pair know each other.
