Man hurt trying to ride on TTC bus bumper, police say
32-year-old man taken to hospital with life-threatening condition
A man was seriously hurt falling from the back of a TTC bus after standing on the back bumper without the driver's knowledge.
At 1:47 a.m., a 32-year-old man was found lying on Eglinton Avenue East, near Markham Road, Toronto police said. He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A police investigation determined that the man had been seen standing on the bumper of a TTC bus and holding onto the vehicle minutes before.
Police said the bus driver didn't know the man was on the back bumper.
A portion of the man's journey on the bus bumper was recorded and shared on social media, police said.
Investigators want to hear from witnesses, including those who may have recorded the fall or the moments leading up to it.
