Man faces attempted murder charge after Scarborough shooting
An arrest has been made after a man was shot in the head during an attack in the city’s east end on Sunday morning.
Around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, Toronto police received a call about a shooting on Morningside Avenue at Kingston Road in Scarborough.
Authorities say a man shot the victim before fleeing in a car driven by another person.
EMS crews transported the victim to hospital in serious condition. His injuries are non-life-threatening, police said.
Later Sunday, police said they had arrested a 19-year-old man in connection with the shooting. He faces a charge of attempted murder.
Police say the 32-year-old victim is expected to recover.
