A 68-year-old man has died after being hit by a TTC streetcar earlier this month.

He was one of two men hit by a streetcar on Thursday, Aug. 7, after 10 p.m. on St. Clair West and Lansdowne Avenues.

The men, both in their mid-to-late 60s, were crossing a St. Clair right-of-way track in the avenue's centre lane. One of the men, a 68-year-old, inexplicably stepped back toward the tracks, police report.

The westbound streetcar then struck both men.

The 65-year-old man suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The 68-year-old died in hospital on Monday.
