Man charged with 2nd-degree murder in Scarborough killing
Police found body 'with obvious signs of trauma' in a home on Pharmacy Ave.
A man has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder after police found a body in a Scarborough home on Saturday.
Toronto police responded to reports of a stabbing at 1:15 p.m. Saturday at a residence on Pharmacy Avenue near Bolster Avenue, and found "a man with obvious signs of trauma." He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Shafaq Joya, 30, was arrested Sunday and charged with second-degree murder. He's due in court Monday morning.
A cause of death has not been released, but a post-mortem examination has been scheduled for Monday.
