A man has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder after police found a body in a Scarborough home on Saturday.

Toronto police responded to reports of a stabbing at 1:15 p.m. Saturday at a residence on Pharmacy Avenue near Bolster Avenue, and found "a man with obvious signs of trauma." He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Shafaq Joya, 30, was arrested Sunday and charged with second-degree murder. He's due in court Monday morning.

A cause of death has not been released, but a post-mortem examination has been scheduled for Monday.

The news comes amid a bloody weekend in Scarborough, including one non-fatal shooting overnight Saturday and two non-fatal stabbings the night before.
