York Regional Police say a man accused in a double shooting in Vaughan has turned himself in.
David Odesho, 24, of Toronto, faces charges of first-degree murder and attempted murder in connection with a Friday night incident in which two men were shot — one of whom died.
On Saturday, police identified their suspect. Odesho turned himself into police a day later.
Sgt. Clint Whitney told CBC News that Odesho will appear in a Newmarket court on Monday.
Police had previously reported that the double shooting at a café on Woodstream Boulevard had claimed the life of 36-year-old Sarhad Sadiq of Nobleton, Ont. The identity of the surviving victim has not been released.
Whitney said police are still trying to locate a white, four-door 2012 Mazda 3 that was seen leaving the scene of the shooting. The licence plate of that vehicle is BRFS 163.
