A man accused of second-degree murder appeared in court Sunday with wounds to his face and hands, just a day after woman’s body was found in a Richmond Hill condo.

York Regional Police were called to a condominium building located near Yonge Street and Elgin Mills Road, in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Inside, they found a woman dead and they arrested a man at the scene.

The victim's name is currently under a publication ban.

But the accused man appeared in a Newmarket, Ont., court on Sunday.

In court, the man had a cut on his face and bandages on his hands. He appeared extremely nervous. Police would not comment on his wounds.
