The Toronto Maple leafs are headed to the playoffs for the first time in four years.
Forward Connor Brown scored a heart-stopping goal in the final minutes against the Pittsburgh Penguins Saturday night, securing a 5-3 victory for the team — and a coveted playoff spot.
That brought kudos from even non-hockey types.

The victory came after goaltender Frederik Andersen was pulled off the ice after a hit to the head by Penguins forward Tom Sestito, which left some wondering if the team was on thin ice.
The Leafs will play the Ottawa Senators in the first round of the playoffs if they pick up at least a point in their season finale against Columbus on Sunday.
