Two people have been injured in an industrial accident in the Don Mills Road and Eglinton Avenue East area.
Toronto Fire Services says they received a call at around 12:30 a.m. and attended 225 Wicksteed Ave.
A man in his 40s received serious burns as a result of sodium bicarbonate and triflic acid. The other victim received minor injuries.
There was smoke at the address not due to a fire but rather due to a chemical reaction, Toronto fire said.
Firefighters sealed the chemical leak and have notified the Ministry of Labour about the incident.
