A collision involving a dump truck and a GO Transit train sent the driver to hospital and caused delays on GO's Barrie line on Friday
The collision happened just after 8 a.m. near Keele Street and Treston Road.
The front of the truck was badly damaged but police say the driver escaped with injuries that are not life-threatening.
The 6:52 departure from Allendale to Union Station was delayed. As of 8:30 a.m. that train was holding south of King City station while crews inspect it for damage.
The Allandale Waterfront 07:22 - Union 09:03 train — which is north of the train involved in the collision — is holding at Aurora.
GO says the damaged train has been removed from the site where it crashed around 8 a.m. just south of King City station. Both trains were eventually able to move regular service resumed in the afternoon.
