GO train evacuated on Lakeshore line
Punctured fuel tank closes service between Pickering and Oshawa
GO Transit has shut down train service between Pickering and Oshawa after a punctured fuel tank forced the evacuation of an eastbound train.
A hazardous materials team is cleaning up the mess on the Lakeshore East line and an investigation is underway. GO said it will run shuttle buses along the route for the rest of the day.
GO said Saturday afternoon all its buses were running on time, though minor delays are to be expected due to bad road conditions as a major ice storm closes in on southern Ontario.
