Toronto firefighters were busy battling a three-alarm blaze in the city's Yorkville district this morning.

The fire broke out after 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday at 84 Yorkville Ave., at Bellair Street.

Fire crews arrived to find flames on the second floor of the three-storey building. No one was inside the building at the time.

There is no word yet on injuries.

The building's property manager told CBC News that the structure is 150 years old and part of an old stretch of Yorkville Avenue.

Firefighters are expected to be at the scene throughout the day, to ensure that nothing flares up again.

Also Wednesday, Toronto police arrested a 54-year-old man at the scene who allegedly shoved firefighters while they worked. He is facing charges of assault and obstructing a police officer.
